Chinese Lomi
(Frankly, I prefer "French" Lomi!-Chinatown)
ingredients:
pork (bite size or smaller)1/2 lb
shrimp shelled 1/2 lb(medium size prefered)
fish balls(optional) small package cut in quarters
carrots sliced thin (julienne)
onions 1 cup (sautee cut)
green onions (cut small)
cabbage 1 1/2 cup(thin cuts)
mushroom 1 can sliced
fresh noodles (pang lomi or mami)
celery (julienne)
eggs 3 or 4
sesame oil 3 to 4 drops
soy sauce 3 tbsp
salt and pepper to taste
msg (optional)
chicken boullion (1)
cornstarch (dissolved) thickening
garlic peeled and minced (dik dik ba)
directions:
saute' garlic first.if you are using fish balls cook first until
plump.then add pork and cook until brown.then add
onions,carrots,celery.mushroom and noodles(make sure noodles is blanced in
hot water) then add water(depends on how much you want)then drop chicken
boullion.boil until pork is cooked.add cabbage and shrimp.make sure you do
not overcook the shrimp.add sesame oil, soy sauce,salt and pepper to
taste (msg if you like). cook for another 5 min and add cornstarch
solution.when thick enough add eggs and stir.wait 3 minutes for egg to
cook.add green onions and serve hot.
